Back To School!

New dates have just been posted for the pointed pen calligraphy workshops I teach at Fifteen Eleven in Old Town, Alexandria. Spots are going quickly, so if you have been considering taking part, please sign up soon! In all, I’ll be teaching two introduction to pointed pen calligraphy workshops, one advanced calligraphy workshop (open to those who have taken the first class) and, new this fall, a workshop on how to create a hand-lettered monogram or duogram (the latter intertwines the initials of two people instead of just one).

I see the monogram class as being perfect for anyone who wants to create a distinctive personalized mark that they can use on everything from stationery to custom cocktail napkins. It would also be ideal for couples who are getting married – a duogram could be used on invitations, programs, menus, thank you notes, you name it – or parents-to-be who want to have a monogram for use on birth announcements or stationery for their new little one.
